Ever since Efflo broke up, I’ve periodically tried to find out if Sadye Cage, their singer with the incredibly unique voice, has returned to music. I never found anything, and I’d pretty much given up hope, but through means he cannot explain, my father recently stumbled across her YouTube page, where she’s apparently been uploading music for about two years now. She’s now going by simply “Sadye,” which might explain why her channel didn’t come up in my searches for “Sadye Cage.”
Efflo always described their sound as “death pop,” and Sadye’s solo stuff feels a little less death and a bit more pop, but it’s still a similar vibe. Overall I think I liked her work with Efflo better, but this song has been stuck in my head since I first heard it.
Should probably be an epilepsy warning on this video.
