This isn’t a new song, but I only discovered it fairly recently. I wasn’t super impressed at first, but after hearing it a few times, I’ve come to really appreciate it. It’s not a song you can just passively listen to; its full depth and complexity only blooms when you give it your full attention.
I feel like this hits all the tropes of most of the songs I share here. Canadian, synthy, female vocalist, pretty dark.
I like that one. Took me about halfway through to work out what it reminded me of – it’s got a bit of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill going on in there somewhere.
